Sonys War On Makers Hackers and Innovators

Sonys war on consumers at Make Magazine.
I was going to write about something entirely different, but had to give recognition to an article by Phillip Torrone on Make Magazine's blog about Sony's bad practices toward their consumers. I couldn't agree with his assertions more. The practices that he has mentioned have been problematic for me as well concerning Sony products. I was lucky that I never became affected by the CD root kit issue. Phillip forgot to mention the awesome DRM technology incorporated into many PS3 games that is, or at least used to be reliant on the PSN network. Does anyone remember around March, 2009 when the PSN network went down taking several PS3 games and consoles with it for over 48 hours?

You can check out all of Phillip's article over at Make Magazine's Blog, "Sony's War on Makers, Hackers and Innovators". Thanks Phillip.
