New Tutorial on Sound Recording Device Selection and Real Time Level Monitoring in Java

Sun, 7 Nov 2010 14:51:31 EST

The simple recording selection application on Ubuntu Linux.
I posted a new tutorial yesterday about how to do recording device selection and real time input level monitoring cross-platform in Java. I highlighted a few of the most tricky aspects of the process, like identifying supported recording mixers and also identifying supported recording formats. I also highlight the process of using another thread to get input recording device data and do the level calculations. The entire source code is available for download over in the tutorials.
