Kinect Fusion Scans and Viewing The Results With Helix

Thur, 28 Mar 2013 14:09:01 EST

A Kinect Fusion Scan viewed using Helix.
I broke out my Kinect For Windows again recently, as I am working on a much improved green screen in my spare time. Doing a smooth green screen is no small task with the Kinect because the depth data is so noisy. Anyway, I just wanted to quickly post some 3D scans I took of my dad and myself using Kinect Fusion. I then used an application I wrote using the Helix 3D Toolkit to view the output stl files. If there is interest, I'll take time and post the helix application source code.

The work that has been done on Kinect Fusion is amazing.
